Welcome to the MAX4ESSFUN Annual Meeting 2016

When: October 6-7, 2016
Where: Elite Hotel Ideon - Scheelevägen 27, 223 63 Lund, Sweden

Welcome to the first Annual Meeting of MAX4ESSFUN, to be held at Elite Hotel Ideon, Lund  6-7 October 2016 (lunch-to-lunch). Directly after the meeting there will be an option to participate in a study tour at the premises of ESS and MAX IV.

The main objectives of this meeting are to present the ongoing research with neutrons and synchrotron light in the region and to offer a meeting place for the region’s scientists and other interested to meet, network and discuss science and potential future collaborations.

The meeting is divided into four main sessions. After a general information session, we will focus on three scientific themes:

  • Imaging,
  • Structural biology
  • Materials science

In addition we have a poster session for researchers using neutrons and synchrotron light or researchers looking for collaborative partners in the field. Posters will be on display throughout the meeting. Meeting program.

Please note that each conference participant is most welcome to present a poster and we expect all projects that have received support from MAX4ESSFUN to be presented in the poster session of the meeting. The conference as well as the meals are covered by MAX4ESSFUN. Participants may contact their host organization for information about possible reimbursements from the organization’s MAX4ESSFUN travel budget.

We would like to keep  a record of the presentations at the meeting for information to the participants and for documentation to Interreg, so in the case you are presenting a poster, please submit a pdf-file of your poster to before October 4, 2016.

Dimensions of the poster board: Height 190cm; width 90cm. Please remember that you poster should include the Interreg logo

Poster materials for display must be made in advance and brought with you to the conference.
